Development Update

It's been awhile since the last post (currently working on a Graduate degree), but I wanted to note that I'll be working on updates for a near future release. This will include more mazes, a single joystick option, and support for other languages. There are other ideas, but I will try to release major pieces as they become available. If there are any requests from current players, please let me know.

Release 1.0.3 Now Available

I've released a minor update and have more updates in the works, such as improving the joystick controls and giving the option for single joystick control (easier, but not as fun imo). Meanwhile, the 1.0.3 update:

  • Increased the size of the menu buttons, and joystick controllers for iPhone 6 Plus devices. Okay, this is not a minor issue to those who probably found it difficult to play with mini controls.
  • Added ambient sound to the first maze, which was inexplicably missing.

Release 1.0.1 Now Available

Awake In The Maze has been re-released to the iTunes App Store and is available now! Version 1.0.1 has fixed the nasty bug that prevented iPhone and iPod Touch users from launching the app. Obviously, this was not the smoothest initial release, but we have learned few things that should make future releases seamless.

Again, thanks to those who purchased the app so far, and apologies to those who were likely frustrated by this initial release. We will do better on future releases.

Bug fix for iPhone crash on launch

UPDATE:
It's my expectation that the app will be approved on March 3. The review process is being expedited. I will keep you posted when it is available (3/2/2015 10:10 PM CST).

"Awake in the Maze" (v 1.0) was officially launched yesterday. It was discovered that the app crashes on launch on the iPhone (no problem with iPad). I have already submitted a fix to Apple (v 1.0.1) and it's waiting for review. I will make it available as soon as it is ready. In the mean time, I will remove the app from the iTunes App Store until after these issues have been resolved. Thanks to those who have already purchased the app, I'm sorry for this setback. I look forward to hearing your comments about the game once you get the chance to play it. Thanks for your understanding.
